Download files

• A – GSDS runtime library 5.5 MB. Version 3.3.
• B – WellSim 4.19.06.22 16.8 MB. Database version 14. This is the latest version of WellSim.

Installing WellSim on a computer for the first time, for evaluation

Download and run the two Download files above in this order:

• First: A. GSDS Runtime Library
• Then: B. WellSim

The program will run for 30 days with full functionality. A registration key is not required.

Installing WellSim on a computer if you have a registration key

Download and run the two Download files as described in the previous section.
You will then need to enter your registration key provided by GSDS, as shown in registration online help

For additional assistance:

• If you have a temporary registration key, go to online Help for installing WellSim.
• If you have purchased a licence, go to online Help to set up WellSim for regular use.
• If you are adding or replacing a computer, go to online Help to install on another computer.

Upgrading WellSim to the latest version

Download and install the latest version of WellSim in Download files, above.
For additional assistance: go to online Help for upgrading to a newer version.

New Features in this version of WellSim

Improvements

• Added ability to edit Geometry or Casing within a Discharge Simulation.
  — Useful when matching a discharge simulation to measured data when scaling is present.
• Geometry edit is set to ReadOnly if Geometry uses Deviation and Casing.
• If a Deviation is modified, all Geometries that use that Deviation are automatically updated.
• If a Casing is modified, all Geometries that use that Casing are automatically updated.
• For Discharge, Output, Injection and Injectivity Simulations:
  — Measured data is now highlighted when the mouse is moved over the corresponding legend.

Error Fixes

• For Discharge, Output, Injection and Injectivity Simulations:
  — Selected measured data is now displayed correctly for all graph units.
• Injectivity Power Law Factor or Index now correctly calculated and shown.
• Progress Bar colours in Output Tests and Injectivity Tests now correctly displayed.
• Error in Registration Keys for perpetual licences has been fixed.

Note

• This is a replacement of WellSim Version 4.19.6.20 with a minor fix.

New Features in WellSim Version 4.19.2.5

Database Version

• Database version increased to 14 for Productivity Index and Calculation Type fields.

Improvements

• Option to use either Drawdown Factors or Productivity Indexes in Output Simulations.
• Output Simulations: You can use either Discharge Tests (Simulations) or Feedzone Data.
• Injectivity Simulations: You can use either Injection Tests (Simulations) or Measured Injectivity.
• If you select Use Measured Injectivity, you must select a set of Measured Injectivity data.

Error Fixes

• Graphs with bottom Independent Axis now plot and synchronize correctly.
• Confirmation message shown when valid Registration Name and Key entered in Registration Form.

• This is a replacement of WellSim Version 4.19.1.30 with a minor fix.

Entering your registration key

If you are installing WellSim for the purpose of evaluation, you do not require a registration key. WellSim will run with full functionality for 30 days. If you require additional time, then you can contact GSDS at errol.anderson@gsds.co.nz for a temporary registration key.
