This tutorial shows you how to create and delete wells. WellSim stores the well's data in the database that is currently open.
You will create a new well, called MY WELL:
Open the sample database if it is not already open.
Click at the top left of the window.
Type a well name, MY WELL
, and press Enter
. WellSim creates the new well.
Read these tips for entering data.
Enter this typical data for a well:

(top of window).MY WELL
appears in the list of wells on the left of the window. Click in front of MY WELL
to display the available data types. These do not contain any data yet.
Below are the steps to delete a well. Do not actually delete MY WELL
that you created above; you will use it in later tutorials.
On the left of the window, click the well name to delete.
Click .
Click OK
.
WARNING: When you delete a well, you will also delete all the data that you have entered for the well, and this data cannot be retrieved.
